| Teachers: |
| Staff Breakfast
- The teachers and staff are provided breakfast the day before students return to school to kick start the year. |
| Teacher of the Month
- One teacher is honored each month. |
| Teacher Conference Dinners
- Parent/Teacher Conferences require the teachers to remain at school over the dinner hour.
Dinner is provided by the PTO to show our appreciation of their dedication to our students. |
| Staff Appreciation Luncheon
- Lunch is provided to the teachers on a half day in-service. |
| Valentine Sweets
- We provide sweet treats for the teachers on Valentine's Day. |
| Miscellaneous
- We provide funding for materials and books that help make the teacher's jobs easier. |

| Parents: |
| PTO Meetings
- Open meetings are held the first Thursday of each month to ensure that we are meeting the needs of the students and the teachers. |
| Newsletter
- We mail monthly newsletters to the homes of all students to keep parents informed of the activities occurring at school. |
| Website
- Our website http://www.hhmspto.net provides communication
and information on both school and PTO sponsored activities. |
| Student Directory
- Information provided with parent permission to enable parents to keep in contact with other families in the HHMS community. |
| Student Registration
- We provide the volunteers to make registration a pleasant first experience each year |
| Open House
- We provide dessert and drinks during Open House. |

| Students: |
| 100% Club
- Students must turn in ALL homework in their core classes plus reading between progress reports and report cards.
This requires a huge commitment on the student’s part and is rewarded with a special treat during lunch. |
| Certificate of Merit
- Teachers and administrators hand out Certificates of Merit to deserving students. A student may earn a certificate for making an excellent test grade,
improving a grade, participation in class or for any other reason a teacher deems appropriate. Students must place their certificates in the
merit box in the office. These students will then be rewarded monthly with treats given out during lunch. |
| Student of the Month
- One student is picked each month from the Certificates of Merits and honored. |
| Success Cards
- Success cards are distributed after each nine week grading period. The students’ grade determines the color of the card.
A gold card is awarded to students with all A’s and a 4 or higher in attitude.
A green card is awarded to students with any combination of A’s and B’s with a 4 or higher in attitude.
Cards are also awarded to students that teachers feel are succeeding at their level and grades do not apply.
These cards entitle the students to receive free food and beverages from local merchants. |
| New Student Reception
- An ice cream social is provided to students who have moved into the school from out of the area. |
| ACMO
- A program for academically at risk students that rewards them for improving failing grades. |
| Assemblies
- We provide funding for school assemblies. |

| Red Ribbon Week
- A drug and alcohol awareness program. |
| Jag Watch
- An award program used to keep watch over students and school property. |
|
| Recreation: |
| Mix It Up Day
- A lunchroom dessert provided has students sitting with others sharing the same dessert to promote new friendships. |
| New Student Reception
- A party is provided for students who have moved into the school from out of the area. |
| Miscellaneous
- We provide clubs (i.e. "Culture" such as Crane House-Japanese), materials (i.e. free book giveaways in every English class), and funds (i.e.
scholarships) as needed. |
