Fundraising Programs

HHMS PTO relies primarily on donations to fund the programs and services we provide to our school. Focusing on direct donations allows us to avoid the hassle of sales fundraisers; it also means we keep 100% of the revenue, allowing us to sink that right back into our school. We hope you’ll consider sending in a donation today if you haven’t already gotten the chance. Any amount you’re comfortable giving would be of benefit, and you can send it in to school with your student in an envelope addressed to PTO.

That said, we do also participate in a number of “easy fundraisers” that give us a percentage back based on what you already spend on certain products or at certain stores:

Box Tops

Many of the products you already buy at the grocery have pink “Box Tops” on them. Clipping these gives our PTO cash back. In the past we have done fairly well, but we know with the size of HHMS we can do more. We have implemented “Box Tops Fridays” for the 2015-2016 school year to increase our participation in this program. The last Friday of each month will be Box Top Friday, and participating students will be entered into a drawing for a $20 gift card.

In order to be eligible for the drawing we ask that you: 1) Trim around the dotted line on each Box Top (this helps us with counting), 2) Put all Box Tops in a baggie with a note inside with the student’s name on it (marker on the baggie rubs off–we learned that the hard way!), and 3) Make sure the Box Tops haven’t expired; unfortunately we can’t turn in expired Box Tops. For every 10 trimmed Box Tops turned in on Box Tops Friday, students will receive one entry for the drawing.

Kroger Community Rewards

This program is tied to your Kroger Plus card and gives us a percentage of your purchases when you use your card. In years past, this required you to load money onto the card before using it if you wanted us to be credited, but last year Kroger made the process easier and stopped requiring cash to be loaded onto the cards. However, you must register your card with Kroger using the Highland Hills Middle School PTO ID# 12420 in order for us to receive credit. Even if you registered last year, you must re-enroll each year. You can enroll or re-enroll online at http://www.kroger.com/communityrewards or by calling 1-800-KROGERS.

Restaurant Nights

Several area restaurants do regular Spirit Days/Spirit Nights that benefit HHMS PTO by giving us a portion of the proceeds from that day or night’s sales.  Participating restaurants include Chick-Fil-A in New Albany, and Bearno’s and Beef O’Brady’s in Floyds Knobs. Specific dates and instructions will be announced for these restaurants.
