Upcoming Elections

April is almost here, and for our PTO, April is election month. The PTO Executive Board includes the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Director, Program Director, Hospitality Director, and (new for next year) Fundraising Director. These eight volunteer positions are all elected to single year terms. All positions are therefore open, though all of our current Executive Board members are willing to run for election again.  With the Fundraising Director position being new we are in particular need for someone to fill that role. This person would oversee fundraising programs such as Walkathon, Box Tops, and Texas Roadhouse gift cards, however, there would ideally be chair persons directly in charge of these events (and we do already have help for Walkathon!), so the task of handling them would not fall solely on the Fundraising Director’s shoulders! The ideal candidate would have good organizational and delegation skills.   Obviously not everyone has the time to consider running for a board position, but if you are interested in increasing your involvement with PTO, we hope you might consider one of our committee chair positions. Most committees handle short term projects that might fit in to a busy schedule more easily.
